White sure does give the impression that the place is very neat. It also makes the room brighter, whether it's lit by either natural light or by a light bulb. In the first picture, the frames on the wall really made it a great hallway. The color combination is nice as it is, even without the frames. But if you look at the hall as a whole, it looks a tad bit different.
